About AAO

We are a young architecture practice based in Melbourne and Hobart. Working in collaboration with our clients, we design spaces that strive to enhance the lived experience of their inhabitants.

Our design philosophy stems from melding our individual and shared life experiences. Growing up on the pristine island of Tasmania, we were fortunate enough to be immersed in the twin forces of nature and design. Kitchen table tutelage from our architect parents and grandfather instilled an early awareness of the potential of design to go beyond aesthetics.

We spent many years working at small and large architecture firms in Australia and Europe, designing a number of award-winning buildings before launching our own practice in 2017.

From pop-up retail spaces to family homes, or large commercial buildings, we enjoy working on a diverse range of projects. We help our clients unlock the hidden potential of their project through our considered design approach.
