Hutton House

A 1930s Californian Bungalow in Melbourne’s inner north was being held back by an earlier rear extension.

The family were keen to open up the living/kitchen/dining spaces and establish a stronger connection with the rear courtyard.

The new addition has been designed around the principles of sustainable passive design – cross ventilation, natural light and thermal mass – to naturally keep the home warm in winter and cool in summer.
